The Company

Founded in 2021, NANCo Aero is a privately held, modern technology company providing products and services to commercial, small business, government, and nonprofit organizations. Our products include advanced air vehicles and drones built with durability and safety features unlike those of others. Our services include innovative research & development, new product development, and skills and technology consulting.

The Vision

To develop the first Hybrid Personal Air Vehicle capable of transporting passengers over urban and rural environments. It can take-off and land vertically (VTOL), hover, rotate and fly. This modern aircraft will comprise of many new and emerging technologies and methods. It is capable of safely and comfortably transporting it’s passengers to their destination via pilot, remote pilot, or autonomous. This air vehicle will adhere to the FAA & Urban Air Mobility (UAM) requirements while focusing on Safety, Stability, Reliability, and Maximum Efficiency.

The Founders

  • Shern has over 16 years providing hands-on leadership in mechanical engineering, research & development, & new product development in the oilfield, consumer, and other industries. Major companies included: Smith Int., National oilwell Varco, & Weatherford. Key strengths are having the deep expert knowledge and skill in the ideation, planning, design, testing, manufacturing, installation, and management of a wide range of products from land and offshore drilling equipment to consumer products. Shern has a B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Electrical Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology. Shern has developed multiple million-dollar machinery and tools for various fortune 500 companies that were award-winning, and revolutionary. Shern has earned 8 patents for his work in the industry.

    In college, while working on flying submarines as a Senior design project, Shern was fascinated with the potential of a true flying vehicle and the more he thought about it the more he researched the overall field. As an engineering student, Shern was building the skills needed and kept his “flying car” concept a secret. And over the years he kept moving in this direction.

    Now having the resources, team, and tools to work with, it’s time for flying cars.

  • Barry Barron is a native of Houston, Tx. After attending High School for Engineering Professions on the campus of Washington High School and graduating from Worthing High School, he joined the US Navy. He served for 8 years as an Aviation Electronics Tech working on the Nuclear Communication and Navigation systems for the Navy’s Boeing 707 aircraft. During his service, he was also Quality Assurance Manager and the liaison between Boeing and the Navy for all aircraft modifications. In 2003, Barry received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University with Minors in Management and Safety.

    Since the end of his service, Barry has worked 16 years in the energy industry performing testing and commissioning of several aspects of power generation and transmission electronics. In 2018, Barry received an Associates in Construction Management from San Jacinto Community College and is working towards his master’s degree in finance from University of Houston Clear Lake.
